Which German language skills do I need?

You need to achieve at least a B1 German fluency. Upon a successful placement with an employer, our German partners will reimburse you for the cost of the German training. If you already have a B1 or B2 level in German, you only have to prove this by taking the Goethe B1/B2 exam.

How does Lextorah help You start an Ausbildung in Germany?

If we have sparked your interest, you are welcome to join hundreds of other applicants. However, as soon as you have reached a B1 level fluency, we need your CV and a cover letter for your potential employer.

Following this we will then contact you for a first personal interview (usually via Whatsapp or Skype call) with us to get to know you better. If we have a positive impression of you, our German partners will forward your profile to the employers in Germany. They will then include you in their application process and conduct additional interviews with you. Depending on the company, this can be up to 3 additional (video) calls.

At the end of this process we are hoping that you can sign an apprenticeship contract (depending on the position for 1, 2 or 3 years) with the employer in Germany.

As soon as this contract has been signed, our German partners will work with you and the employer to obtain the visa. The costs of the visa and the process are shared with the employer (the normal visa costs are covered by you, while the employer pays for the fast-track procedure to get you to Germany in time for the start of your training).

The cost of the flight is also paid in advance by the employer as a loan. These costs are paid back to the employer in instalments over 1-2 years during the training.

What can I do after Ausbildung in Germany?

On successful completion of the Apprenticeship you can sign a normal work contract under German law which allows you to work in Germany for the duration of your employment with the option to apply for citizenship after having been a resident in Germany for a minimum of 5 years.

You can also further your studies by attending any of the universities in Germany to obtain a Bachelor or Masters degree with the support of the German companies, or you return to your country and works as an expatriate.
